Welcome to the documentation for the Absence Report Submission system. Here you will be provided with a plethora of information regarding the workings of the system, and the limitations that may exist in it. To begin, let's run through the processing of a form from start to end.

As you've already seen (since you are at this screen) you must begin by logging in.

Teacher logins will be taken to a screen similar to this one, though the reports should be different. You will find that any report that lists as 'unprinted' can be edited. After the report is printed, however, it cannot be changed by anyone except a network administrator. It would be better to physically remove the incorrect report from the mailing and simply submit a new report.

To submit a new report, click the link entitled "Submit a New Absence Report", which will bring you to a form for you to fill out.

Your name should already be placed in the field entitled "Teacher". If it is not, log out and log in again. If the problem persists, contact an administrator.

It is important to abide by the formatting regulations of the form. Names MUST be submitted in the manner of LastName, FirstName: no exceptions. Any extraneous spaces will be deleted (a submission of 'Jones, Jim Bob' will be interpreted as 'LastName: Jones, FirstName: JimBob'). Dates MUST be in the MM/DD/YYYY format (01/01/2001 and 1/1/01 would be acceptable). It is not recommended that you change the date field unless a special circumstance exists. Grade to date can be either numeric of alphabetical. NO FIELDS MAY BE LEFT BLANK. Not only will this generate an error, it may also reset your entry.

After filling out the form, press the submit button and you will see an alert confirming the successful submission. From here you will be taken back to your main screen. You should notice that new report has been added to your list. If it is not there, first refresh your browser, and if it still does not appear submit the form again. If the problem persists, contact an administrator. To view all archived reports, simply click the View All Records link. When finished, please remember to Log Out.
